- Inspected vehicle for concern. We found coolant level low so we added some water for testing. Pressure tested cooling system. We found a leak at the water pump that is hitting the ground. Nothing seen at the radiator or other components. We suspect the coolant level got low causing the erratic gauge reading. At minimum we recommend replacing the water pump and thermostat. Vehicle has many other leaks and issues. We showed the customer and he declined repairs. Also the dipstick is broken off inside the tube. With massive oil leaks we have no idea how much oil is in the engine.
